Ripples in the Water
Murray Bridge
22 October - 13 November 2010
Ripples in the Water is a major curated exhibition of work by contemporary Aboriginal artists from Murray Bridge and surrounds. Exhibiting artists range from emerging to well-seasoned, and works span a variety of mediums and disciplines, predominantly selected from a series of development workshops taking place during 2010. Raising the profile of Aboriginal visual artists and contemporary arts practice in the Murray Bridge region towards a positioning within the context of national visual arts commentary, this project will challenge and transcend the often prescribed limitations of what defines Aboriginal art.
