Negotiating Boundaries
Murray Bridge
22 October - 13 November 2010
In Negotiating Boundaries Helen Stacey investigates the gate as a metaphor for colonisation, the control of land and people, and spirituality through painting, installation, cast stone and silver jewellery. The exhibition incorporates collaborative works with Ngarrindjeri Elder and artist, Ellen Trevorrow, entitled Negotiating Histories and is accompanied by the Ngarrindjeri Cultural Arts Exhibition, which assists in the continuity of Ngarrindjeri traditions.
